Narrow Hull

The M229 is notably more narrow than our other doubles. This gives the hull a remarkably low amount of wave generation. Still, the use of a wide flare at the saxboards allows most hips to fit within the hull and get through the work, unlike most LW2x with side-bolting riggers. Sykes does not recommend rowing M29 as a pair.
